Non-linear editing workstation on Windows XP Professional utilizing 24 bit Steinberg Nuendo 4, capable of audio at 96k. Unlimited audio tracks with editing down to the sample, full effects and E.Q. Plays back to DAT, analog cassette, DVCAM tape, Proffessional DV, Beta SP tape and VHS tape, CD and DVD, onto the Internet in several formats, or into Matrox Digisuite DTV video non-linear editing system. Straight digital output to all digital tape formats, high-capacity compact flash storage, DAT, MP3 & CD. Networked to video NLE. Portable mixer and digital field recorder available.
Studio audio sources include: DAT with balanced line analog in and out and digital in and out, CD with balanced line analog out and digital out, Mini-Disc with balanced line analog and optical digital, Tascam analog cassette tape, Marantz digital compact flash recording deck, wide diaphragm condenser microphones, Technics turntable, and multi-channel headphone distribution amplifier. Audio from studio video decks and NLE also accessible.
All audio is routed through patch bay in and out of Mackie Onyx 1640 mixer with 16-channel firewire to recording and editing systems. Event Audio bi-amplified near-field studio audio monitors are used for the entire editing suite.
Video
Acquisition of video uses JVC GY-HD200 high-definition camera, with output to all HD formats, Sony HDZ-27 high-definition camera, as well as standard definition Sony and JVC cameras. High-definition cameras record to hard drive and compact flash cards.
Matrox RTX2 non-linear editing system utilizing Intel four-core Xeon processor, four gigabytes of RAM, and 1.5 terabytes of media storage. System utilizes Premiere Pro 3.0 editing software with unlimited audio tracks, unlimited video tracks, After Effects CS3 with title animation, Adobe PhotoShop CS3 Extended, Adobe Flash CS3 Professional, Discreet Cleaner XL for file conversion to Pioneer DVD, CD and The Web. Batch digitizes DV and Sony DVCAM using firewire for native capture, edit and output without CODEC change to preserve high quality. Also captures and outputs broadcast quality component, composite and S-Video signals. System is networked to computers with audio and graphics support.
Studio video sources include: Sony Beta SP video deck with component, composite, and S-video in and out, Sony DVCAM digital video deck and professional DV decks with firewire, S-Video, and composite in and out, VHS decks with standard analog video and audio in and out.
Output of editing system and all video sources viewable through 4 channel JVC NTSC video monitor with HDMI, DVI, firewire, component, composite and S-video inputs. All studio audio sources will route to mono speaker in monitor for small speaker mix check. Panasonic WJMX10 2 camera video switcher with sync. gen lock and effects for standard definition video switching.
